Lamiya Morshed is the Principal Coordinator for SDGs Affairs of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, a position she has held since August 2024. With over three decades of experience in international development, microcredit, social business, and global advocacy, she has played a leading role in advancing sustainable development worldwide.

Formerly the Executive Director of the Yunus Centre since its founding in 2006, Ms. Morshed worked closely to promote Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus’s vision of a world with zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions (the 3ZERO world). She joined Grameen Trust in 1994, contributing to the establishment of microcredit programs and leading high-level missions to countries including Turkey, Timor-Leste, China, Nepal, the Philippines, and Costa Rica.

She has been the Managing Director of Grameen Healthcare Trust and Chairperson of YY Ventures, and held board positions in organizations such as Grameen Healthcare Services, Grameen Kalyan, Grameen Intel, Grameen Euglena Ltd., Grameen Creative Lab, Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing, Yunus Sports Hub, Yunus Environment Hub, Yunus Social Business, YY Foundation, Ononyo Construction and Development Ltd., and Yunus France.

A keynote speaker and panelist at numerous international conferences and summits, she regularly speaks on microcredit, social business, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development, and serves as a judge for global social business competitions. Educated at schools around the world, she is multilingual—fluent in Bangla, English, and French, with working knowledge of German—and holds a BSc in Economics (International Trade and Development) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), UK.
